In 1850, Mado started as a small shop with just four tables, offering only one flavor—cream ice cream—in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş. The name "Mado" is an abbreviation of "Maraş Dondurma," meaning "Maraş Ice Cream."
Today, Mado has grown into a wide-reaching chain with over 400 branches in Turkey and abroad. It is one of the most iconic brands that brought the fame of Kahramanmaraş ice cream to the world. In 2022, Mado received the award for the Best Ice Cream in the World, underscoring its excellence and rich history in offering authentic Turkish flavors.
